Used the Kastar charger with various LP-E6 & LP-E6N batteries including Canon OEM batteries, the new Kastar branded batteries (total of 4 purchased with the Kastar charger), and other knock-off batteries. Compared to the OEM Canon charges I have, the Kastar charger seems to charge at a slightly slower rate but I can’t prove or disprove that, regardless not really a concern. The cameras (EOS 7D Mark II & 5D Mark IV) appear to have no issue with the Kastar batteries.Initially, I rated the Kastar charger with one star. The issue was this: Once the batteries were charged and then removed, one of the charging ports/station’s LEDs stayed lit. Approximately two weeks after initial use the other charging port/station started to stay on when a battery was removed. It appeared to be charging the batteries correctly, but was a concern to me.I contacted the company, Kastar, (via the contact information card inserted with the charger) and explained the issue, as well as sending a picture of what I was seeing. Kastar was very responsive to my email, being cordial and apologetic for the unfortunate issue. The company immediately sent a replacement unit, which has worked flawlessly. I’ve used the charger connected to a laptop as well as in different charging ports in vehicles. No problems or issues encountered.Can’t beat the price for a charger and four (4) batteries. Even though I had the glitch mentioned above, I would buy this Kastar charger and/or the Kastar batteries again. Kastar was great to work with, standing behind their product.
