   This is not my first Llano brand battery charger. Once again, they’ve knocked it out of the park. I use my Canon Eos to shoot horse sports with, and that can mean long days at the horse shows. I like that I can charge 2 extra batteries at the same time, and VERY fast. They aren’t wrong when they say you can reach full charge in about 90 minutes. I timed it out with batteries that were almost dead, and it was 82 minutes to full charge.I very much appreciate the display front that shows what level your batteries are charged to, and this looks quite nice sitting on the display shelf next to my cameras. I know that might seem silly, but the sleek looks add to the overall attractiveness of this product. Finally, I like that the top closes magnetically, and even when I dropped this taking it out of my camera bag last week, it didn’t dump the batteries out. That was good, because I dropped it in wet grass!Note: this is NOT a power bank. Some models are actual power banks that you can use to charge your phone from, etc. This is not one of those models.Verdict? Absolutely treasure!

   Let me start off this review with the most important question I had: Does a Canon Camera identify these as proper batteries? Or does it throw a battery error?Answer: My Rebel T7i has no complaints about these batteries. As far as I can tell, it sees them as a proper Canon batteries.The case holds two off-brand batteries (included) and has space for two spare full-size SD cards (not included).The case is a charger but must be plugged in to charge. (USB-C) I saw one reviewer mention that it would be nice if the case charged the batteries like an earbud case. Keep in mind that this would require the case to be twice as large in order to hold its own battery. For me that would be oversized for my “day pack.”Pressing the single button on the case will cause the display to light up with the % charge level of the batteries in it. This even works with my original name-brand battery. (Though, I’m not sure if I’m brave enough to use this case to charge that name-brand battery.)The case feels decent in the hand with rounded corners. The top snaps shut with a strong magnet that should prevent it from opening inadvertently. It comes with a small lanyard that is more “fluff” than function.I haven’t “abused” these batteries yet so I can’t truly speak to how well they hold a charge. I’ll update this review if it seems significantly different than the name-brand.Overall, a nice addition to my camera bag.

   From the moment you open this package everything feels very well built and high quality. There is no slop in the hinges, it feels like a tightly built airpods case and I love it.The one thing that surprised me and is a major missed opportunity is the fact that the case itself does not charge the batteries. With so much of the design taking hints from wireless earbuds cases that charge the earbuds, it was a shock to see that this case is basically a glorified charge dock that you can get for $10.It’s so well built and I absolutely will continue to use it, but especially with the size of this thing it should be a power bank too that charges the batteries when you put them in the case, without needing to be plugged in.

   This battery pack and charger is great. The batteries are perfect for our Canon Rebel SL2 and I love how the charger will tell me how charged the batteries are and will keep them at 100. I have had the batteries for about 2 months now…they are a backup and they have held their charge the whole time. Our original battery is losing its charge quicker now, so these extra batteries and charger have been great to have.
