   I’ve made my living as a pro photographer for 35 years. The chargers I’ve been getting from this company Llano are some of the best in the biz. Even if they are bit more expensive than the budget chargers – they are worth every penny. This particular unit is for Canon rebel T2i cameras of which I have seven bodies. Why so many? I use these less expensive units for hazardous duty – meaning they are often put into situations where they might be destroyed. For instance, leaving them in the woods as part of a trail camera system for 8 weeks. This Llano charger is superior because it completely closes on top – The batteries fit snugly within charger so the batteries won’t fall out while on a rough road. The readout gives a precise level of battery charge. Most chargers just blink until they are done – but the Llano gives a percent read – meaning if it is at 95% or higher I can pull them for duty.I’ve gone ahead and ordered quite a few more chargers from Llano, they are durable and well-designed and perfect for a working pro or serious hobbyist.

   DESCRIPTION: llano LP-E8 18W Fast Dual Battery Charger for Canon EOS Rebel T3i, T2i, T4i, T5i, 550D, 600D, 650D, 700D DSLR Digital CameraPROS: Fantastic texture on the case (whatever it is). Has a slot for carrying an SD card.CONS: The charging percentages seem off. Not by 20% but it’s a +/-10%.WHAT’S IN THE BOX: The charger, charging cable, lanyard, carrying pouch, and user manual.REVIEW: What a nice charger and carrying case. The texture on this case is really nice to the touch. It’s like a rubbery silicone kinda-thing. I really like it. So much do I like it, I’m worried the texture will come off. But I’ll charge ahead and throw it in my backpack because it’s nice and a great way to carry extra batteries. It is larger than you might think. So, if you’re tight on space, this may not work.It’s nice that it gives you a charge-status display for both batteries. And it also lets you know if you are in fast-charge or normal-charge mode. This is governed mostly by the power adapter you’re using. If the ‘Harry Potter’ lightning bolt icon is blinking green, then it’s normal charge. If it’s solid, then it’s fast charging.Now although you see the battery status display, if found it to be off +/-10 percentage points. For example, while charging it might say 77%. But when I unplug the charging cable that battery status now might say 87%. It also begins to drop almost immediately, but it still ends up anywhere from 5-10% off. Just be aware.It’s larger than I thought it would be but I’m not completely put-off by that. I love that it’s a dual charger. Anyone who has a Canon T5i (or any of the other cameras listed) will likely need an additional battery. I have 5 batteries. I take 3 with me when I go out.The magnetic closure is so nice. I love cases that use magnets to secure a lid shut.AMAZON PHOTO/DESCRIPTION ACCURACY: The photos and description are accurate.VALUE/VERDICT: If you have one of the cameras listed, you probably have multiple batteries. This is an excellent way to charge two of them. At $39.99 I’d call it an okay price.

   This Llano 18w Dual Fast Charger is a must have in your camera bag! It’ll charge BOTH batteries just under an hour and a half with an 18w USB-C power wall adapter or a QC3 power bank (both need to be provided by you). You will find an appropriately rated USB-C cable and storage bag is included with the charger to power and store your device.Its a great place to keep and protect your batteries not only when charging but also during travel. Inside, the internal battery compartment is buffered with a closed cell foam pad within the lid to prevent your batteries from banging around or being damaged when stored-keeping them firmly planted in each of their own separate compartments. Also, there is space for not one, but two full size SD Card/Micro SD Card Adapters to keep extra memory on hand as well.Its well designed and crafted design also charges your collection of aftermarket batteries with the same ease as it does your factory units. The external LCD screen keeps you abreast of the status of each battery individually as they charge.Overall, the functionality of this charger makes it incredibly easy to use.
