   My Canon DSLR is 4-1/2 yrs old and batteries hold a charge only half as long as a year ago; that’s the same reason I BOUGHT this 77D: after a few years my EOS Rebel’s batteries would go dead in just a day or two (even when not on a cruise [our normal vacation choice … as husband said: “Unpack once!, and ‘room’ goes to other locations”], when I’d be taking pictures all day long). Bought replacement Canon batteries, but we bet they sat on a shelf for years as they were just as short-lasting from the start. So … new Canon – AND new batteries, because new design: ‘old’ batteries don’t fit ‘new’ camera; now I’m needing new batteries for this 2nd camera. !! So was glad they were available elsewhere.Not sure about longevity yet, haven’t had them long enough to tell (though do use camera almost daily); seems the batteries last at least as long as ‘official’ Canon ones – and cost a LOT less, so I’m very happy with them so far. THANKS for having them available! :D

   I have the Canon t7i which takes a Canon dedicated battery. Many other 3rd party batteries will prompt a Canon warning telling you the the battery is not a Canon authorized battery and many will not show how much charge is on the Charge indicator on the LCD screen. The Charger is very quick and the batteries do not prompt the warning and shows the amount of charge left in the batteries on the LCD. I find the battery life equal to the authorized Canon Batteries. Certainly recommend the charger and batteries and well worth the price.

   Even better than the original that came with my Rebel EOS T8i to charge the LP-E17 battery. I only used that one twice before it overheated so much you could smell the ozone and it overcharged (destroyed) my only battery. Fast forward, I obvs needed a new battery (new OEM replacement + a spare) but was reluctant to claim for a warranty replacement for the charger with that bad experience, so I hunted for a reliable (less expensive as well) charger. I came across this one and went with my gut feeling to order it.First, it arrived a week earlier (shipped to Canada). Second, it was nicely boxed so packaging also exceeded expectations. I immediately dug out my 2 Canon batteries and started charging. Both successfully charged, the little red light on charger was now switched to green. Inside camera, no issues and displayed full charge on each of them.Very pleased, no more worrying about excessive heat and ruined batteries. This does give off some heat while charging and I understand that it is normal. Nowhere near as hot as my original one, and no awful smell, either.Recommended as replacement for original charger.
