Got this for a Ring camera mounted in my shed. With thousands of dollars of woodworking tools, the cam helps me keep a watchful eye on my workshop.With the camera mounted near the ceiling at one end, all I needed to do was mount the panel, drill a hole to the inside, run the wire in to the back of my cam, and silicone caulk around the hole.I often forget to pause the camera when working in my shed and it therefore drains the battery noting the movement. This allows me to not have to worry as it keeps the existing charge near full.It does take a few days to charge the battery if I’ve been out in the shed a few hours without pausing the camera, but gone are the days of needing to charge a battery overnight when it runs low. Additionally, living in Phoenix, I don’t have many cloudy days with which to contend.

So far, so good. I haven’t had enough time to test its longevity. This charger is for the Ring STICK camera. I initially thought it was for my doorbell. My bad, the ad was very clear and I simply failed to read it properly. It gave me a good excuse to buy an outdoor camera for property. It charged up well and seemed to power the camera just fine. A caveat here, I live in the American Southwest. We have a LOT of sunshine both summer and winter. I don’t have issues with any of my solar powered lights and I expect this charger to continue to do well over the long haul. It had a bit of trouble during the massive dust storms that move through this time of year. No shame on the charger, when you can chew the air and visibility is down to 100 feet, even I have trouble with my energy levels.

These solar panels are working great for our ring cameras. This option is so much better than having to climb up, remove the cameras, plug them in to charge and then have to install them back in place. These solar panels are also better than buying hardwired ones and going through the hassle and expense of having electricity ran for them.
