   This was really easy to set up. It comes with instructions and the cord length is better than my other solar panel. I feel like I am always worried about my Ring doorbells battery life. A few times when I have really needed it over the years it was dead so I constantly check the app. I am so happy I won’t have to worry as much about my doorbell. We all have enough going on in life that at least this takes one worry away.

   Let me begin by stating that I obviously can’t read a product description. I initially saw this item and said, awesome! I can finally get a solar charger for my ring doorbell! I placed the order and installed it as soon as it came in. It’s very easy to install. All you need is a philips head screw driver. Easy peazy. The cord was long enough for me to run it up the wall under the porch stoop and over to where I installed the panel, which took about 12 ft of cord with how I ran it. I had just charged my ring doorbell as well, so I thought I was good to go! Well, now is the confusing part. I checked the ring app to see if the charger was connected, but it was telling me it wasn’t, so I thought, maybe it’s because it’s at a 100% charge right now? I waited a few days and still nothing. I un-installed the doorbell and reinstalled it in the app. Still nothing. This is where I discovered that I f’d up. I read the product description and clearly in the title, it states it’s not for the ring doorbell gen 2. Guess what!? Yup. I have the gen 2, so the mistake is totally on my inability to read something. I can’t confirm how well the solar charger works, but I’m pretty confident it would work great if I had a newer generation ring.

   I was a little hesitant about ordering this solar panel charger, as I wasn’t entirely sure if it was compatible with my Ring doorbell model. However, I decided to take the chance, and I’m so glad I did! It was easy to install, and it’s been working perfectly.The best part? I haven’t had to take my Ring doorbell down to charge it even once since installing the panel. This has been a huge relief, as I hated losing visibility while the battery was charging. It’s fantastic to have continuous power and peace of mind.The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because of my initial uncertainty about compatibility. It would be helpful if the product description was clearer about which Ring doorbell models it works with. But overall, I’m very happy with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone looking to eliminate the hassle of charging their Ring doorbell.

   Great quality material and construction, long cord and easy to install. Consider location, not great on covered porches. I lucked out and installed on uncovered south side of the house and it is awesome, Ring Doorbell stays charged and really reduces the hassle of taking it down and recharging.
