After my preschooler took a pair of scissors to my camcorder charging cable, I needed a replacement fast. I was a little hesitant to purchase a replacement that wasn’t a genuine JVC part, but after carefully reviewing the pictures to make sure the connection looked like the correct shape I took the plunge. The adapter fits perfectly, and the only disadvantage is that it’s a little clunkier than the original so I have to separate the cord into its two components and store it in two different compartments in my camera bag. That’s a small inconvenience considering the price is significantly less than the name-brand part from JVC’s website. I recommend this product if you’re not wanting to spend the extra money on a genuine adapter.
