I bought this charger so I could use it for all my devices during an overseas trip. I tried it with some batteries and it worked fine. However, I found a day before I was ready to leave that it will not in fact work with Canon LP-E6, which is used in several Canon DSLRs (even though the description says this battery is supported). It was a physical problem of not being able to get the contacts close enough to fit the battery. Since I did not have time to purchase another charger, I was able to take it apart with a Leatherman tool and shave off enough plastic to allow the contacts to sit closer together. After that the battery charged just fine. The same goes for AA batteries. The plastic opening were just a tad too thick to allow AA batteries to touch the charging terminal on the positive side (AAA fit and charged just fine). Another quick carve with a Leatherman solved that problem as well. The circuit itself works as advertised, no need to worry about selecting the polarity or the voltage. Stick any battery under 12V in there and line up the contacts, and it will charge. I liked that the adapter can charge from 12v DC voltage as well, I successfully used it with car cigarette lighter ports and with a 12V solar charger. Bottom line is, if your battery contacts are closer than 2mm apart from each other, you will need to take this thing apart and modify it, after which you will have an awesome charger that will take on just about any consumer electronics battery.Edit: I forgot to mention that when iPhone is plugged into the USB port for charging, the iphone says “Charging is not supported with this device”, and the charging icon does not appers, but the iphone DOES charge as evident by the battery level indicator increasing over time. Of course, you have to deal with the annoying message all the time.

The Universal Charger worked well on my camera battery. I wanted an easy traveling charger and this it! Also comes with car adapter and international adapter. The instructions were a little difficult, but I figured it out. Now I can carry one charger for both my cameras.Wasabi Power Universal Battery Charger for Cameras and Camcorders
