Was not looking forward to having to constantly charge the batteries on my Ring cameras. Extra batteries were only about $5 cheaper per battery, so I thought the solar panels would be the better option. The install is fairly easy and straight forward. I have one on the mailbox pointing at the front of the house and the other on the kids playhouse pointing at the rear. Both locations offer nearly all day sun. The mailbox installation, I used the supplied bracket. It’s plastic but it seems ok. The playhouse installation, I wanted flat on the roof with a stand-off. I used aluminum angle for the stand-off and screwed that to the roof, using silicone for water proofing. I used strong automotive trim double sided tape to attach the panel to the aluminum. After installation, the batteries were both fully charged within a day and a half. One was down to 60% and the other was down to 75%. Will have to see how well they last, but they seem to be fairly decent for the price.Edit: about 5 years after installation. These solar panels are still working perfectly. The attached Ring cameras have never lost power once. As a matter of fact, one of the cameras failed (lens issue) and I’m replacing it with a new camera and these are still fully compatible. Solar panels are the way to go versus the constant need to charge batteries.

Got these to power Ring Stick-Up cameras. One panel is outside and one is actually inside a window and both are able to keep the cams at 100%.These seem well-built and come with a liberal amount of cable should you need to position them a distance from your cam.If I had my druthers, I’d like to see these offer adjustment on up/down AND side to side, as optimized angle toward the sun’s path maximizes performance. While you can make up for this by the angle at which you mount the bracket, if mounting to something like the edge of a joist or board, your available angle might be limited. Or for looks, you might just wanted to mount the bracket vertically or horizontally. But, that’s not enough to ding a star. So, good performance, decent value, and good build — five stars.

These have worked perfectly all summer, I have never had to remove the battery from either ring stick up camera as the status always states 100%Even the one that’s about 15 feet high and is dirty still maintains the battery fully charged.

Put these on the ring cameras they have been up several months working good. Sure beats charging every few days
